  1. Dear Brother Lynch,

In 1968, with a friend of mine, who was a church member, we sat to talk about the gospel; the setting was Retiro Park in Madrid, the day beautiful and sunny at the end of Spring Time.

Antonio went straight to the point…the Visit of the Father and the Son, their conversation with a farm-boy who became the Prophet of the Restoration.

As I listened to him, I thought to myself, ”This story makes sense, religion makes sense.”

Years have gone by and like yourself, I have remained and stayed in the faith.

    Thanks for your testimony,

  2. John, I am impressed by your testimony. I also am a convert from a non-member family all of whom think I am slightly crazy. My mission was not nearly as exciting as yours (We did have a ballbearing thrown through our car window once.), but I also have a strong testimony of the gospel. I appreciate all you do. Keep the faith!

  3. Thanks for sharing John! I had similar experiences on my mission to South Africa ie: a very angry man with a very large gun held to my head (we ended up teaching him a lesson), was in a riot, witnessed two murders, was fired upon with machine guns and mortars, etc. Great times! I would do it all again in a heartbeat. I really appreciate all you do for FAIR. Thanks for being awesome!

  4. Wonderful testimony John! Thank you for giving such articulate words to a sublime experience. It is inspiring!

  5. John, thanks for sharing you testimony. Mine is simple, but also life changing. I returned from Vietnam in 1967. Was soon told of Joseph’s first vision. I was strongly impressed that God just might work that way. The clincher for me is that there is a plan for everyone who ever lived on this earth. So here I am – happy to live with the imperfections of the past, and of the present. Keep up the good work. Cheers. Kevin

  6. I enjoyed this very much. It’s about remembering, isn’t it! Being Thankful and Keeping the Faith! Thanks so much for sharing! It helps so much during this crazy pandemic.

  7. Thanks for your testimony I too am a convert I thought LDS were crazy and deluded I got all of my opinion about the Latter-day Saints from anti-Mormon books because nothing was available in the library I burned my first Book of Mormon as the in of the devil I was supposed to study for the priesthood and a few weeks later ended up getting baptized in the Church What softened my heart was the example of the members Never in my own Church did I see such a Christlike example except among a few of the nuns who taught me I almost got thrown out of the house when I was baptized but I have stuck to the faith
