  1. Jennifer – thank you so much for doing this entire series. can’t begin to express how much I’ve learned, grown, and been uplifted.

This question of who is/isn’t a Christian has always fascinated me — seems impossibly hard to define a meaningful set of criteria that works. Trying to understand this podcast – are you saying the criteria Evangelical’s would use (in general) is looking at the practices more than beliefs? As in we (the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints) have practices that exclude us from being Christian?

I’ve personally long felt the key factor was as you cited in the Hinkley view. People want to exclude us as we aren’t “Creedal Christians” – but that would be a belief, but its certainly fair.

Listening to this series I’ve come to realize I should add priesthood authority to that list as well, which certainly has both belief and practice differences.

There are certainly a “ton” of differences that you’ve highlighted over the year, but it would seem some of them aren’t “that” important, as all church’s have differences that don’t “exclude” them from Christianity

I’m curious if you have any thoughts on what are the “key” “exclusionary” practices we follow?
