  1. I have come to believe that if the gold plates and the urim and thummin were on permanent display in the salt lake visitors center, it would only slightly affect the testimonies of the world. Believers would point to it as evidence for belief, while critics would still complain about inconsistencies with geography, translations, theology, and genetics.

    Testimony comes from the HG. Evidence is interesting and compelling and will support belief, but alone, it isn’t enough.
