  1. Another fantastic post!
    I am often a little uncomfortable about talking about “mistakes” of prophets and apostles. I’m not saying that they don’t make them but we all learn line upon line, precept upon precept. The Lord gives us revelation that we are able to handle piece by piece and as we grow, mature, learn, more information is given. Could this also happen as prophets? I think this also applies to the church as a whole and I often wonder if some of these “mistakes” are more an immaturity of the members of the church rather than one of a prophet.
    I really love how you give room for the context of those “mistakes”. Peter denied the Lord but when you understand the terrible fear he must have faced at the time, we tend to give him some grace. Just as we might give Joseph some grace in trying to live a Celestial law in a fallen world and facing some terrifying situations.
    I think there is so much context to most of those perceive mistakes we just don’t know. Thanks for the great perspective you given here. Lots to think about
